Do you have experience experience of investigating human rights abuses and the financing of conflict? We are looking for a passionate Campaigner to help stop the extraction of natural resources to corruptly finance conflict, particularly in South Sudan.

We’ve been creating change for over 20 years, from alerting the world to blood diamonds to halting forest destruction deals. Our investigations have changed the world.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Campaigner to drive our country specific work in South Sudan.

About the role

With a focus on South Sudan, you’ll investigate and advocate highlighting and breaking the links between extraction and trade in natural resources and corruption and financing conflict.

A key part of the role will be working with local civil societies to achieve change and agreeing ways to communicate the impact.

About you

A practiced campaigner, you’ll know how to create successful campaign strategies and build awareness through investigations and advocacy.

You’ll need to explain complex policy issues to diverse audiences so excellent communications skills and the ability to adapt your style depending on the audience is essential.

Finally, it would be valuable if you understand the governance, transparency issues and the political landscape within South Sudan or East Africa.
